Alter Ego’s electric double basses represent the perfect answer for all those who are looking for an EUB (it is often incorrectly called stick bass). The possibilities provided by our silent bass range from the simplicity and modularity of the prêt-a-porter BabyEgo line to the ample possibilities of the Acoustic line, an electro-acoustical bass that is practically made to measure.
The BabyEgo line represents the upright bass par excellence and it is made exclusive by its adjustable neck system - a solid body with good vibration. Among all the possibilities offered by the modularity of the BabyEgo line, the BabyUnico stands out for its price and simplicity: one shoulder, available in one color and with one sole electronic setup all at an incredible price!
Our Double bass Acoustic line is almost entirely custom made according to the customer’s preferences. The soundboard has the potential for infinite acoustic possibilities and it has the added advantage of flexibility of design. And we can also customize the neck, fingerboard, bridge, string action and length of your double bass.
Considering the varying requests, necessities and styles, we have conceived our instruments to be flexible and modular to offer you the possibility of different configurations. The modular logic for the electronics, the mixing of piezo pick-ups and the universal Schertler stat-B make all Alter Ego models a truly plug and play experience.
A fundamental characteristic of our basses is the robustness created from the use of the best materials and a quality and attention to design aimed at transportability and long-lasting maintenance: a used Alter Ego is always new because it can be upgraded continuously.
5-string doubles basses are available with high C and Low B and/or in left-handed versions.
The quality and the playability of the fingerboard and the neck are at the base of all Alter Ego musical instruments and no details will be undervalued, for this reason we place the maximum attention on special accessories such as the padded case that is all waterproof and the fine quality of our preamp headphones that make practicing particularly pleasant.
