Cello
Alter Ego cellos are all handcrafted and created with selected materials (red Italian Spruce, Balkan Maple and Ebony from Madagascar). The maximum quality of the materials and the beauty of their highly original design and body shape contribute to making Alter Ego’s acoustic electric cellos a singular instrument for a natural sound and a great feel - an Alter Ego has the same warmth and feeling that we have all come to expect. Made with selected materials our electric cellos are durable and they can be repaired in luthiery and violin shops all over the world.
There are three set-up possibilities available for each cello:
- buffer - a pick-up with a buffer to adapt impedance
- concert - with two pick-ups and phase control
- dual preamp - with the possibility to mix an AUX source plus a headphone output
This modular construction gives every cellist the possibility to create an instrument that is perfectly suited to fit his or her individual needs.
The exclusive cello body shape and sound box are light, like a traditional cello with easy familiarity and they guarantee robustness, transportability and a warm and natural timbre.
Both the 4 and 5 string cellos are available in a left-handed musician version.
